Southern Fiction Writers-Anderson, SC -4th Saturday of every month
March 26, 2022-2:00 to 5:00 at the Anderson County Library
This is a critique group. The meeting is free and visitors are welcome.
Visitors, as well as members, are invited to bring manuscripts of up to 1,500 words for a free critique at this meeting. Submissions must follow the criteria below:


1)  Must be fiction (sorry, no non-fiction, poems, or memoirs). 
2) Any genre of fiction for any age, including short stories, as long as it meets the above, will be acceptable. 
3)  Manuscripts must follow the submission guidelines.  Here are the basics: Bring up to 1500 words, 1-inch margins, double-spaced, numbered lines, Times New Roman 12 font, header to include your title, genre, your  name, email. Pages stapled together, printed on one side only. Please bring at least 7 copies. Everyone is welcome to offer feedback. You’ll learn a lot to sharpen your writing skills visiting these sessions, whether you bring a manuscript (ms) or not.

Sally Handley to Moderate 4Q Mystery Book Club

Sally Handley brings a focus to female sleuths of a certain age

in her picks for the 4th Quarter of the Mystery Book Club.

  •  The Crow Trap by Ann Cleeves, the first in the Vera Stanhope series. (October 13th)

  • Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions by Mario Giordano, Book 1 in the Auntie Poldi Adventure Book Series) (November10th)

  • Stop the Threat by Sally Handley (December 8th)
